An
answering machine is one sure way to have fun with people! My
favorite message to put on one goes like this:
Hello?.......(silence
to wait for response)
Hello?......(a
little louder this time with another silence waiting for response)
Can
you speak up a little? I can just barely hear you!......(Loudly and wait
for response)
Heh,
heh, heh! Just kidding! This is my answering machine....Sorry we can't
get to the phone right now, but if you'll leave a message at the tone,
we'll PERSONALLY get back to you! Beep.....
When
people call, they are screaming answers in the phone to try to make you
hear them, and sometimes they will leave you a message of appreciation!

which was left on our machine after getting hold of this one!
Another
funny way to get callers, is to first call a phone number in another area
code, but don't dial 1 or the area code when you make the call. Then record
the error message you get, which says that you must hang up and dial 1
and the area code to reach this number. Then place this recording on your
answering machine, and when someone calls you, they'll get that message
on your machine, and then the first thing they'll do is try again, this
time dialing 1 and the area code. Then they'll get a message telling them
they don't must dial without the 1 and the area code. Drives them crazy!!!!
The only bad thing, is you might miss important calls.
